Organs

L. Ron Hubbard, The Music Maker T

he primary instrument upon which Ron composed was the electronic organ. Whether composing scores for new Scientology films, or songs and melodies for an album, this was his instrument of choice. Keenly conscious of innovations in design and construction, his organs were always, quite simply, cutting edge. If it was new, he was interested in it; and if it would enhance his work, he obtained it.

Composing on the Road

L. Ron Hubbard, The Music MakerIn L. Ron Hubbard’s Mission Earth, the central hero, Jettero Heller, travels across America in a customized “land yacht.” In fact, Ron was writing of his own land yacht - a customized Bluebird motorhome in which he took to the road through central and northern California. To continue his musical composition, a separate trailer was specially outfitted as part of his caravan. Pictured here, is that mobile composition room containing a scaled down version of his composition and recording facilities including his Yamaha FS 500. In fact, it was in this mobile composition recording room that Ron composed the songs for his Mission Earth album and The Road to Freedom.
