Synthesizers

L. Ron Hubbard, The Music Maker

From top to bottom:

KORG POLY-800: A gift from famed jazz keyboardist Chick Corea, the Korg Poly-800 was a particularly popular synth in the early 1980s.

PROPHET T-8: Purchased for Ron’s composition room in the early 80s and has also been used in the L. Ron Hubbard Music Studio.

BALDWIN SYNTH: A table-top model, it was part of Ron’s music composition line in the early 80s.

YAMAHA DX-7 SYNTHESIZER: In 1984, intrigued with what he had heard of the new synthesizers, Ron ordered a search and test of aall leading models. The Yamah DX-7 was found to be the ideal instrument for his composition needs. At the time, however, the DX-7 was unavailable within the United States, and so arrangements were made to purchase the instrument directly from the Japanese manufacturer.

ROLAND JUNO 60: Also acquired for Ron’s composition room, the Roland served musicians through the recording of the album, Mission Earth in 1985.
